Summer is finally here, so surf over to the Mangum-Howell Center and join in the fun! For lunch, Catfish on Wheels is serving all-you-can-eat fried catfish and shrimp, French fries, baked beans, coleslaw, hushpuppies, and unlimited iced tea and coffee. Then, make your own ice cream float or sundae as Donna B, one of the most popular entertainers on the Opry circuit, performs all your favorite country and western songs! Mercer Botanic Gardens invites children ages 6 to 12 to explore plants through the ages during its Botanical Time Tunnel Summer Camp, held Tuesday, June 20 to Friday, June 23 for children ages 6 to 8 and Tuesday, June 27 to Friday, June 30 for children ages 9 to 12 from 9 a.m. to noon.

A suggested donation of $30 per child is requested to cover the cost of materials, which is due at the time of registration. Space is limited, so make a reservation today by calling 713-274-4166.

This volunteer-led class combines a variety of music with a fun and effective dance workout system great for the body and mind. Aerobic attire is recommended.

Participants need to bring a towel and bottled water, and dress in loose, lightweight clothing.
