Kuykendahl Bridge Scheduled for Completion
Motorists traveling between Harris and Montgomery counties along Kuykendahl Road may soon enjoy faster commutes when a second two-lane bridge at Spring Creek opens in June. Construction on the two-lane bridge and roadway segment along Kuykendahl from Pine Plains Drive to Flintridge Drive began last year. Once complete, traffic capacity along the corridor will double. Harris and Montgomery counties worked together to fund the $7.05 million bridge connecting both counties. The Woodlands Road Utility District No. 1 funded the design phase services

The botanic center recently acquired 47,000 new plant specimens on long-term loan that will aid researchers in preserving Texas’ most endangered species.
