Spend the day exploring the outdoors and enjoying food, music, vendors, and more during the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce’s first Paddle N Pedal Festival Saturday, April 14 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. near The Vintage at Hwy 249.
Taking place across two adjacent locations, the event features recreational activities at Precinct 4’s award-winning Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve and CHI St. Luke’s Hospital in The Vintage.
At Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve, participants will have opportunities for fishing, archery, geocaching, canoeing, kayaking, and bicycling using equipment provided by Precinct 4’s Trails As Parks division. Pontoon boat tours will also be available on the 40-acre Marshall Lake.
At CHI St. Luke’s Hospital, guests will enjoy stage performances, a health and fitness tent, train rides, climbing wall, local exhibitors, and food trucks.
Shuttle service will be available for event attendees traveling between the preserve, hospital, the Vintage Shopping Village, and other parking areas. Admission is free.
Precinct 4’s Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve is an 80-acre property featuring the 40-acre Marshall Lake, plus a staff building, paved roads and parking lots, restroom facilities, and 1.7 miles of trails. The preserve’s planning and acquisition earned the Houston Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) Parks and Natural Areas planning award in 2007. In 2018, less than a year after opening, the park earned another H-GAC Parks and Natural Areas award in the $500,000 and Over category.
