Skip the mall and celebrate the holiday season with Precinct 4! Enjoy opportunities to meet Santa, musical performances, holiday markets, and more at a variety of locations throughout the precinct. With activities happening almost every weekend leading up to the big day, your Christmas is sure to be packed with Christmas cheer.

Santa’s Workshop at Mangum-Howell Center
Fridays, Nov. 30 and Dec. 7 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 1 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Enjoy the sights, sounds, and delights of the holiday season direct from the North Pole as Santa Claus sets up shop at Mangum-Howell Center (MHC) in Doss Park! Activities include a holiday craft, games, and, a hayride. Holiday music, carols, decorations, and refreshments add to the festive atmosphere. Be sure to bring your own camera for a picture with Santa! An adult must accompany children under the age of 18.
Want to give back? MHC is collecting new, unwrapped toy through Friday, Nov. 3 and nonperishable food through Tuesday, Dec. 11. For details, call 281-591-7830.
Christmas in the Pines Art Exhibit and Open House at Big Stone Lodge
Friday, Nov. 30 at 1:15 p.m.
Get in the spirit of Christmas at Big Stone Lodge’s Annual Open House. Enjoy Viva Voce Victorian Carolers and their arts and crafts exhibit. There will be light snacks and hors d’oeuvres. Transportation for seniors 50 and better is provided from Kingwood Library, 4400 Bens View Lane in Kingwood, and Oaks Presbyterian Church, 1576 Chantilly Lane in Houston.
Old-Fashioned Christmas at Jones Park
Saturday, Dec. 1 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Time travel to the 19th century where Jones Park’s historic 1830s Redbud Hill Homestead comes to life with cookies, wassail, and a ceremonial tree lighting! As daylight fades, travel along the illuminated path to St. Nicholas’s workshop in the homestead, where you’ll meet Santa, his helpers, and Mrs. Claus. Holiday crafts and performances courtesy of Aldine ISD Honor Choir and Kingwood High School’s Madrigals add to the festive atmosphere. Complete the festivities with either a hot dog plate or a special pork dinner with all the holiday trimmings!
Second Saturday Settlers: Homestead Holiday
Saturday, Dec. 8 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Couldn’t make it to Old-Fashioned Christmas? Don’t miss this enchanting encounter with St. Nicholas in the Redbud Hill Homestead! Visitors can string popcorn and cranberries as well as watch period demonstrations to the sounds of caroling. Savor cookies and warm wassail as the shifting seasons and crisp air settles over the homestead meadow.
Caroling and Cocoa at Burroughs Park
Friday, Dec. 14 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Take a break from the holiday hustle and savor the sights and sounds of the holiday season while enjoying carolers, hot cocoa*, crafts*, and holiday lights! This musical event is something the entire family can enjoy.
*Cocoa and crafts are available while supplies last. Crafts are available to children ages 12 and under.
